Welcome to oscarolej.com! This is my personal website, where I show off my work, favourite things and showcase my web design skills. Or, well, lack thereof.

To put it short, I'm Oscar. I like quite a lot of things, such as technology and media - I love hardware like computers and video game consoles (my most favourite is the Sega Mega Drive), software like operating systems (my most favourite is Windows Vista, you may now suffocate me in my sleep) and video games themselves. As for media, I love music, and certain films & television - sometimes I even dabble into photography from time to time. Look, what I'm trying to say is that if you're on this website, you probably like the same sort of things I do.

One may see this website and wonder: "Why exactly does this look so old?". Well, my good friend, I really like the designs of older websites - not even just personal ones, but professional ones too! This is when the internet was truly at its prime, compared to now where everything is centralised and no longer about the people. This website incorporating this design is mostly because I like these kinds of designs, but there's other reasons like being inspired by other websites and it being more personal to who I am. Would you rather have a boring white page, or have a cool, blue and flashy website? Chances are, you want the latter because you're still here!

This may not be required for everyone, but it is something that you can do and the website is designed to work with. While this may be a turn-off for many, remember that this website is inspired by older website designs. You may even enjoy looking at this website on an older computer or older device! Of course, at the end of the day, this website is meant to be accessible so all key information and buttons are accessible to everyone.
